Thanksgiving Centerpiece Project Ideas

Thanksgiving Centerpiece Project Ideas

When Thanksgiving rolls around, many people start looking for project ideas to adorn their dinner table. Making your own centerpieces is one way to make your table look bright and festive, and there are many projects that you can do to get one that's super cute.

The possibilities are endless for Thanksgiving centerpieces. One common idea is a pumpkin. Now, you probably had pumpkins for Halloween but this time you don't have to carve them. Simply choose a nice sized pumpkin for the middle of the table, or an array of smaller pumpkins. Set them up on top of an orange or brown doily, or on a smattering of fake autumn leaves. For a very elegant look, display a few smaller pumpkins with one larger one, and discreetly hide a couple of candleholders within them. Add orange, black or brown candles between the pumpkins as a pretty centerpiece. Small gourds can also be added as an interesting touch.

Cornucopias have always been a very traditional centerpiece for Thanksgiving, and one that always looks beautiful. Another project idea would be to create your own. Find a fake cornucopia at any craft store, and fill it up with fake fruit, autumn leaves, little pumpkins, and gourds. Bring out the colors by adding some green leaves among the fall colored ones. For an even better centerpiece, forgo the fake fruit and opt for fresh. Your guests will be thrilled to choose fresh fruit from their host's homemade centerpiece.

Project ideas for Thanksgiving are easy to do, and even better to display. Find one to do today, and make an afternoon out of it with your family. After all, Thanksgiving is all about family and togetherness, and doing a project together will keep your family happy and close.
